GILLETTE, Wyo. - The 12th-ranked College of Southern Idaho Women's Basketball Team used a strong second half to defeat Casper College 73-64 Thursday in the Gillette College Tournament.
The Golden Eagles held just a two-point lead at the half but stretched it to 10 points midway through the third quarter and coasted to the finish.
CSI out-rebounded the Thunderbirds 37-28 for the game and finished with a 52 percent field-goal percentage to 41 percent fro Casper.
Savannah Stoker led CSI with 20 points, six rebounds, two blocks and three steals. Samara Morrow added 18 points, four rebounds and two assists. Ashley Garner dominated the boards, posting 11 rebounds along with nine points. The only other Golden Eagle in double figures was Chloe Jensen with 11. Lea Nadolny had a solid line, finishing with sxi points, four rebounds, two assists and two steals.
CSI, 11-0 overall, play the host school Gillette College Friday at 6 p.m.
