RENO, Nev. - The College of Southern Idaho Women's Soccer Team improved to 3-2-2 in conference play with the 3-1 win over Truckee Meadows Saturday in Scenic West Athletic Conference action.
Jael Montalvo came up big for the Golden Eagles, scoring one of the goals and assisting on the other two of them. After Truckee scored in the first four minutes of the game, Montalvo tied it up at the 40 minutes mark and then CSI cruised.
Presley Houghton scored at the 43 minutes mark and Jayva Hicks added an insurance goal with five minutes to go in the game.
Avery Charlesworth had a solid game for the Golden Eagles in the goal, finishing with two saves and giving up just the single goal early.
CSI, 4-2-3 overall, travels to Pacific Northwest Christian and North Idaho next week.
