JEROME, Idaho - The College of Southern Idaho Women's Soccer Team had 14 more chances to score Saturday on sophomore day but couldn't get the ball in the goal, falling to Colorado Northwestern 2-1 in Scenic West Athletic Conference play.
The two teams played to a 0-0 draw in the first half but the Spartans came out of halftime and scored two goals quickly, putting the pressure on the Golden Eagles.
CSI answered with a goal by
Presley Houghton on a pass from
Jael Montalvo with 10 minutes to go in the game but that would be it.
Kirstine Kent finished with four saves for the Golden Eagles.
CSI, 6-4-3 overall and 5-4-3 in conference play, travels to USU Eastern and Snow College next week.
