PRICE, Utah - The 13th-ranked College of Southern Idaho Women's Basketball Team used a late run to beat USU Eastern 63-60 Thursday in Scenic West Athletic Conference play.
The Golden Eagles trailed 47-46 going into the fourth quarter but out-scored USUE 17-13 in the final quarter to pull out the win.
CSI's
Kennedy Gillette was a big part of that. The sophomore finished with 18 points, including a 2-for-2 performance from the free-throw line late in the fourth quarter. She added four rebounds.
The only other Golden Eagle in double figures was
Macie Brown with 10 points along with five rebounds. Post
Falon Bedke also had five rebounds.
Samara Morrow finished with a team-high three assists and three steals and added eight points and three rebounds.
Savannah Stoker also had three steals as well as seven points and four rebounds.
CSI travels to Snow College Saturday to finish the first round of SWAC play.
The Golden Eagles are 16-3 overall and 4-0 in the conference.
