TWIN FALLS, Idaho - The CSI Women's soccer club fell short in their attempt of picking up their first nationally ranked victory as they fell 3-0 to #13 Snow College on Saturday afternoon.
The Badgers jumped out to an early advantage with a goal in the 11th minute, and the Golden Eagles would hold strong for the rest of the half, trailing 1-0 at the break. Southern Idaho created some good offensive chances as
Rylee Wardle,
Kenna Fransen,
Jorgia Leavens, and
Jenimar Briceno each notched a shot on goal, but were unable to breakthrough to cut the deficit. Snow would add their two goals of the second half in the 60th and 67th minutes.
Shelby Bingham had 6 saves in net for the Golden Eagles. Southern Idaho will return home to begin the second time through the conference schedule, as they take on Truckee Meadows on Saturday.
