TWIN FALLS, Idaho - The CSI Women's soccer club went toe to toe with #19 Colorado Northwestern in their conference home opener Thursday afternoon, a match that ended in a 1-1 draw.
Both teams had chances early before the Golden Eagles were eventually able to break through in the 32nd minute on a goal from
Kenna Fransen. Southern Idaho had plenty of chances in the second half to break through for the crucial two goal lead, but wasn't able to capitalize. The Spartans were able to equalize in the 75th minute that ultimately led to the draw. The Golden Eagles slightly out shot the Spartans 11 to 9.
Kirstine Kent had four saves in goal for the Golden Eagles. CSI will now move on to their next match against #7 Salt Lake on Saturday. Â
