TWIN FALLS, Idaho - College of Southern Idaho Men's Basketball forward
Cassius Carmichael will be taking his game to Fort Lewis College in Durango, Colo., for the upcoming season.
A tenacious rebounder, Carmichael played in 25 of the Golden Eagles 32 games and helped CSI to a 23-9 overall record.
He averaged close to four points and four rebounds per game and ranked second on the team in blocks per game at 0.8.
"I can't say enough good things about Cassius and his contributions to CSI Men's Basketball this past year," said CSI Head Coach Jeff Reinert. "His energy and effort on the court was a favorite for CSI Basketball fans. Cassius' ability to attack the offensive glass had a major impact on helping us play for the region championship game."
Fort Lewis is one of the top NCAA Division II schools in the country. The Skyhawks finished last season 29-4 overall, winning the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Tournament. They lost in the round of 32 to Colorado Mesa University.
