Box Score CASPER, Wyo. - The 12th-seeded College of Southern Idaho Women's Basketball Team beat 21st-seeded Connors State 79-58 Tuesday to advance at the NJCAA Division I Women's Basketball National Tournament.
The Golden Eagles used their depth to their advantage, running an up-tempo game and sharing the ball. CSI played all 15 players and 12 scored. Connors state played a majority of the game with six players and only six scored.
Leading the way for CSI was
Kaylee Headrick. The sophomore finished with 15 points and 13 rebounds
Jamisyn Heaton added 12 points and three rebounds and
Jayden McNeal had 11 points. Off the bench,
Taylor Johnson posted 10 points and four rebounds.
Izzy Arave had six points and
Makeili Ika and
Kennedy Gillette each had five points.
The Golden Eagles shot 46 percent from the field and 88 percent from the free-throw line.
CSI will now take on fifth-seeded Gult Coast State Thursday at 2:15 p.m.
