PRICE, Utah - The College of Southern Idaho battled but came up short, falling to USU Eastern 89-80 in Scenic West Athletic Conference action.
The Golden Eagles were without starting post Shahid Muhammad and forward Walker Timme as they were both sick.
Jaylong Johnson led the Golden Eagles with 20 points, five rebounds and five assists. Asim Jones added 14 points and six assists. Sam Phipps scored 13 points before fouling out and Britton Berret finished with 11 points. Isaac Hawkins had a solid night with seven rebounds and five points.
CSI travels to Colorado Northwestern Saturday before hosting North Idaho next Saturday in the final regular season game.
