COOLIDGE, Ariz. - The College of Southern Idaho Baseball Team couldn't get their bats going Saturday, falling to Central Arizona 7-0.
The Golden Eagles were originally scheduled to play a double header but due to rain the game was pushed back to a single nine-inning game. The two teams will play a doubleheader Sunday before the Golden Eagles head back to Twin Falls.
CSI posted just three hits in the loss.
Eliot Jones,
Brody Duvall and
Logan West each got a hit.
Malcolm Bartholomew went 3.1 innings, giving up two earned runs on two hits with three strikeouts.
Ethan Gardner pitched 1.2 innings, giving up no runs on one hit with three strikeouts and
Dax Newman earned the loss, pitching two innings, giving up two earned run with two strikeouts.
CSI, 5-5 overall, will start the doubleheader at 10 a.m. Sunday.
