CSI MBB finishes road trip with dominant victory

TWIN FALLS, Idaho - The 15th-ranked Southern Idaho Men's Basketball Team finished out their first road trip of the year with a bounce back victory over Central Arizona, 92-70 Wednesday afternoon.
The win came in dominant fashion as the Golden Eagles led wire to wire as they finish their three game road trip in Arizona 2-1, and notched their 11th victory of the season. Southern Idaho dominated the glass, as they out-rebouned Central Arizona 41-29, and were able to take advantage of 11 turnovers that turned into 19 points. Although the Golden Eagles didn't shoot the three ball well, they were extremely efficient from the field, shooting just under 50% for the game. CSI was led by Isaac Hawkins, who had yet another double-double with 18 points and 10 rebounds. Tanner Hayhurst had another nice day, as he finished just one rebound short of a double-double, with 14 points and 9 boards. Marcus Fizer Jr. and Dale Griffin spearheaded the Golden Eagles 36 bench points with 12 and 10, respectively. Fizer Jr. was a perfect 5-5 from the field in 11 minutes of game action. Hawkins added to his team high in blocks on the defensive end with four, while Khayri Dunn added two steals. Southern Idaho will head into Christmas break sitting at 11-3, and will be back in action on December 30th as they square off with NWAC foe Blue Mountain Community College in Twin Falls.
