TWIN FALLS, Idaho - The 20th-ranked College of Southern Idaho Men's Basketball Team defeated Western Nebraska 98-69 Friday in the Coca-Cola Invitational.
The Golden Eagles dominated inside all game, out-rebounding Western Nebraska 51-43 and scoring 54 points in the paint compared to 26 for the Cougars.
Isaac Hawkins led CSI with 21 points and four blocks.
Amarco Doyle added 20 points and nine rebounds. The other Golden Eagles scoring in double figures was
Tanner Hayhurst with 12 points along with six rebounds.Â
Getting his first start of the season,
Gerry Guerrero finished with four points, eight assists and seven rebounds. Off the bench
Brandon Oloumou and
Khayri Dunn each scored nine points and
Jalen Lyn had eight points.Â
Also with a solid line was
Nathan Ahner with six points, six assists and eight rebounds.
CSI, 6-2 overall, takes on Northeastern JC Saturday.
