HENDERSON, Nev. - The bats were hot as the CSI Softball Team finished up the Southern Nevada Tournament with a run-rule win over Gateway 13-5 before beating Yavapai 15-10 Saturday.
For the weekend, the Golden Eagles hit .470 at the plate with 13 home runs.
Against Gateway
Abbie Banning came a couple feet away from finishing the game with three home runs. She settled for two homers, a double and four RBI.
Brylee Bigelow was 4-for-4 with a triple and three doubles.
Haylee Farnsworth was 2-for-2 with a double and
Tessa Hokanson hit a home run.
Abby Hayes earned the win in the circle, going 2.1 innings and giving up no runs on two hits with two strikeouts.
The Golden Eagles hit four more home runs against Yavapai.
Kenzee Hale was 4-for-5 with a two home runs and two RBI. Hokanson was 3-for-5 with a home run and
Markessa Jensen was 3-for-5 with a home run and three RBI. Banning had another great game, going 2-for-4 with a triple and three RBI.
Hailey Louder was 3-for-4. Jensen also earned the win.
Eva Stoddard got the save, going 2.2 innings and giving up no earned runs on one hit with one strikeout.
CSI, 3-1 overall, travels to Yuma, Ariz. next week.
