SALT LAKE CITY, Utah - The 13th-ranked College of Southern Idaho Volleyball Team competed to the end against sixth-ranked Salt Lake CC in a match that lived up to expectations with SLCC coming out on top 25-21, 25-17, 19-25, 23-25, 15-13 Wednesday in Scenic West Athletic Conference action.
Neither team had lost in a month and both were undefeated in conference play coming into this matchup.
Janke Pretorius and Alazasha Sopi dominated for CSI.
Pretorius ended the match with 40 assists, five kills, 19 digs and two blocks. Sopi added 16 kills and 10 digs. Freshman outside hitter
Sydney Hess finished with double-digit kills for the first time this season, tallying 11. She also had three blocks.Â
In the middle
Annie Nikolnikova and
Danea King each had eight kills. Nikolnikova also had six blocks.
CSI, now 17-6 overall and 2-1 in conference play, travels to USU Eastern and Colorado Northwestern next week.
