LAS VEGAS, Nev. - The College of Southern Idaho swept Jefferson College 25-13, 25-15, 25-18 and Mesa 25-18, 25-14, 25-16 Saturday in the College of Southern Nevada Invitational to improve to 14-5 overall on the season.
Earlier this season, the Golden Eagles went five games in beating Jefferson but it was all CSI this time.
Janke Pretorius finished with 26 assists, 8 digs and three blocks. Middle blockers
Annie Nikolnikova and
Danea King continued to dominate. Nikolnikova had seven kills, three blocks and three aces, while King had six kills and four blocks. Alazasha Sopi finished with seven kills, 11 digs and three aces and Chinaru Inoeu led the defense with 23 digs along with two aces.
Match two against Mesa was much of the same.
Pretorius had 38 assists, three kills, three aces and seven digs, Nikolnikova had 13 kills and four blocks and King had eight kills and three blocks.
Sopi posted seven kills and 10 digs and Chinaru Inoeu added 14 digs.
Sydney Hess finished with nine kills.
The Golden Eagles return home to open Scenic West Athletic Conference play, hosting Snow College Friday and Southern Nevada Saturday.
