OXFORD, Ala. - The College of Southern Idaho fought to the end but came up one run short, falling to Gordon State 3-2 at the NJCAA National Tournament Wednesday.
The Golden Eagles fell behind 2-1 before
Gracie Tentinger hit a home run in the sixth inning to tie the game. Gordon State scored an unearned run in the bottom half but CSI led off the seventh with a leadoff triple by
Taya Manzanares. The Golden Eagles would strand the freshman coming up just short.
Manzanares was 2-for-3 on the day andÂ
Kenzee Hales was 1-for-3 with a double and RBI.
