TWIN FALLS, Idaho - Defense does not go in slumps and that's a good thing. The College of Southern Idaho Women's Basketball went cold Thursday with its shooting but posted another solid defensive night to beat Snow College 57-45 Thursday to advance to the Region 18 Championship game Friday at 6 p.m.
The Golden Eagles will take on Salt Lake, who beat USUE 61-45 earlier Thursday.
CSI, which led by as much as 26 points in the third quarter, forced the Badgers into 27 turnovers and 27 percent shooting from the field. The Golden Eagles also won the battle of the boards, out-rebounding Snow 49-43.
The Golden Eagles finished the night, making only 29 percent of their shots from the field and only 52 percent from the free-throw line. 
Tylie Jones led all scorers with 16 points. She added nine rebounds and four steals. Kali Haizlip finished with nine points and five rebounds and Kaylee Headrick had eight points and six rebounds. 
Livia Knapp had a team-high four assists along with four points and six rebounds, Courtney Stothard posted a team-high six steals along with six points and three rebounds and Alyssa Christensen had a team-high three blocks along with seven points and five rebounds.
CSI, now 28-2 overall, will play for its third straight Region 18 title on Friday.
