ST. GEORGE, Utah - The College of Southern Idaho Baseball Team stayed undefeated with a 6-4 win to open its four-game series with Scottsdale Thursday.
Dax Newman led the way at the plate, going 2-for-2 with a home run and three RBI along with a walk. Christ Carter finished 3-for-4 with a double and
Eliot Jones had a triple.
Kaden Schuck was 1-for-1 with two RBI.
On the mound,
Stone Cushing earned the win, pitching four innings and giving up no earned runs on four hits with five strikeouts.
Jaxon Christensen threw the final four innings, giving up one earned run on four hits with five strikeouts.
CSI takes on Scottsdale again Friday in a doubleheader at 12 p.m. and 2 p.m.
