TWIN FALLS, Idaho - The top-ranked College of Southern Idaho Men's Basketball Team showed why they are ranked #1 in the country, holding off a tenacious Southern Nevada team to win 79-63 Saturday in Scenic West Athletic Conference play Saturday.
The Golden Eagles trailed 53-45 eight minutes into the second half. But went on a 28-2 run to take the 73-55 lead with 5:34 to go in the game and coast from there.
In that run,
Robert Whaley scored nine points and
Isaiah Moses scored eight. Whaley finished the game with 14 and nine rebounds, while Moses had 21 along with three rebounds and four assists.
CSI's
Joel Armotrading posted 13 points, eight rebounds and two blocks and Ga'Khari LaCount had 11 points, five rebounds, four assists and six steals.
Nate Meithof also had a solid game with six points and nine rebounds.
The Golden Eagles, 28-0 overall and 16-0 in conference play, travel to Colorado Northwestern Wednesday before hosting Salt Lake next Saturday on the final night of regular season play.
