TWIN FALLS, Idaho - The fourth-ranked College of Southern Idaho Women's Basketball defeated Southern Nevada 90-65 Saturday to win the Scenic West Athletic Conference regular season title and secure hosting rights for the Region 18 Tournament.
The Golden Eagles led 26-17 after the first quarter and never looked back. CSI forced the Coyotes into 26 turnovers.
Two CSI players finished with double-doubles.
Kaylee Headrick had 11 points, 14 rebounds, three steals and three blocks, while
Tylie Jones finished with 10 points, 11 rebounds, three assists, four steals and three blocks.
Other Golden Eagles in double figure scoring included
Alyssa Christensen with 10 points and
Kali Haizlip with 17 points.
Livia Knapp had a team-high five assists along with nine points.
CSI, 26-2 overall and 15-1 in league play, travels to Colorado Northwestern Wednesday before hosting Salt Lake Saturday for final regular season game.Â
