SALT LAKE CITY, Utah - The sixth-ranked College of Southern Idaho Women's Basketball Team avenged its only Scenic West Athletic Conference loss Saturday when the Golden Eagles beat Salt Lake CC 77-58.
The last time the two teams met, CSI didn't score a field goal the last five minutes and watched a 10-point lead evaporate. This time, the Golden Eagles made sure that didn't happen, outscoring the Bruins 44-33 in the second half.
Kaylee Headrick had a big game for CSI, finishing with 17 points, two steals and 14 rebounds. Also scoring in double figures were
Livia Knapp (14 points),
Kali Haizlip (13 points) and
Courtney Stothard (12 points). Haizlip made a big impact on defense, posting six steals and three rebounds as well.Â
The Golden Eagles forced Salt Lake into 28 turnovers for the game and scored 33 points off those turnovers.
CSI, now 21-2 overall and 10-1 in conference play, travels to Snow College Thursday.Â
