TWIN FALLS, Idaho - The second-ranked College of Southern Idaho Men's Basketball Team had little trouble beating Community Christian Thursday 118-44 Thursday in a Scenic West Athletic Conference matchup.
Eight different CSI players scored in double figures led by
Sam Phipps' 18pts. He also had 10 rebounds and five blocked shots.
KJ Oduor had 14 points,
Asim Jones and
Nate Meithof finished with 13 points,
Kasen Carpenter and
Robert Whaley had 12 points,
Britton Berrett added 11 points and
Austin Johnson had 10 points for the Golden Eagles.
Oduor also had nine rebounds. The trio of Carpenter,
Hasan Abdul-Hakim and Meithof each had four assists. Garret Hawkes had an impressive seven steals along with seven rebounds.
The Golden Eagles forced 37 turnovers and out-rebounded CCC 56-38.
CSI, which moved to 22-0 overall and 10-0 in conference play, hosts Colorado Northwestern Saturday at 3 p.m.
