TWIN FALLS, Idaho - The College of Southern Idaho Athletic Department is excited to welcome back to the nest Daequon Montreal in the role of Assistant Athletic Director.
Montreal played basketball at CSI from 2007-2009Â before completing his degree and college playing career at Boise State University.
"CSI is a very special place and I am so excited to be coming back to a place I called home as a player. I am thankful and blessed to be able to work along side the amazing community we have in Twin Falls," Montreal said. "I look forward to working with some of the best coaches and staff in the country."
After playing professionally in Australia Montreal returned to Twin Falls with his wife and children and became the athletic director at Lighthouse Christian School in 2016. He has remained in that position since that time.
While there, he has been instrumental in overseeing and managing the athletic department's budget as well as playing a big role in fundraising. With the experience he has gained in the last six years and his knowledge of the CSI Athletic Department and the Twin Falls community, the transition will be seamless.
"We are very excited to have Daequon join our staff and be part of the CSI family again," said CSI Athletic Director
Joel Bate. "Daequon brings all the qualities we were looking for in this position. He has athletic director experience, he knows the Twin Falls community and understands what CSI Athletics is about."
Montreal brings with him a bachelor's degree in social science from Boise State University. He is married to Jamie, who also played basketball at CSI, and they have two children - Keyana and Krue.Â
