SALT LAKE CITY, Utah - The College of Southern Idaho Baseball Team led 4-1 going into the bottom of the seventh inning but couldn't hold on, falling to Southeast CC 6-4 at the District Playoff Friday.
The Golden Eagles were in a must-win game to advance in the four-team playoff and have a chance to qualify for the JUCO World Series.
Garrett Thompson had another great day at the plate, going 2-for-4 with a double, a home run and two RBI.
Chase Higginson added a home run and
Greyson Shafer was 2-for-4 with a double and RBI.
Casey Anderson pitched a solid 6.1 innings, giving up three earned runs on six hits with four strikeouts.
Logan Bleazard earned the loss, going two innings and giving up one earned run on no hits with one strikeout.
CSI ends the year with an impressive 40-19 overall record.
