RICHFIELD, Utah - The College of Southern Idaho Women's Basketball Team made a statement Saturday, beating Snow College 83-57 in the Region 18 Championship game.
For the second straight day, sophomore
Kaitlin Burgess was a steady force for the Golden Eagles. The guard finished with 11 points, seven rebounds and five assists.
Jordan Todd led CSI with 15 points and seven rebounds, while
Kiana Eskelson had 11 points and
Sierra Davis had 10 points and six rebounds.
The Golden Eagles shot 50 percent from the field and 36 percent from long range while Snow managed just 32 percent from the field and 12 percent from the 3-point line.Â
Burgess was named the Region 18 Tournament MVP and Todd and Cortney Stothard earned all-tournament honors.
The Golden Eagles, 19-5 overall, will await their seed now for the NJCAA Division I National Tournament in Lubbock, Texas April 19-24.
