SALT LAKE CITY, Utah - The 18th-ranked College of Southern Idaho fell to second-ranked Salt Lake 10-5 in game one and then lost on a walk-off hit 9-8 in game two.
The Golden Eagles stranded 10 runners in the game one loss. One bright spot at the plate was
Cortney Rhees. The sophomore outfielder went 3-for-3 with a double, a home run and two RBI.
Payton Hammond was 1-for-2 with two walks and
Carley Croshaw was 1-for-2 with two hit by pitch.
CSI again struggled with timely hits in game two, stranding 12 runners. Still, the Golden Eagles held the 8-7 lead going into the bottom of the seventh. But Salt Lake scored two unearned runs to take the win.
Carley Croshaw was 2-for-5 at the plate with two home runs and four RBI.
Brynne Tolley was 2-for-3 with a triple and
Maizie Clark was 2-for-3 with a double.
Sophia Stoddard finished 3-for-4.

Jessica Touchard earned the loss but pitched a great final 3.2 innings, giving up no earned runs on three hits.
