SALT LAKE CITY, Utah - The 18th-ranked College of Southern Idaho Men's Basketball Team forged its first lead with 12 minutes to go in the game and never trailed again, beating the 3rd-ranked Bruins 90-82 Tuesday in Scenic West Athletic Conference play.
Salt Lake led by 16 points partway through the first half and watched it shrink to seven points at the half. Behind the play of CSI's
Deng Dut, the Golden Eagles completed the comeback and earned the win in their first conference game of the season.
Dut ended the game with 29 points and 10 rebounds.
Amoro Lado scored 10 points along with four assists.
KT Raimey added 15 points and four rebounds, while
Daylen Williams had nine points and seven rebounds.
One of the biggest keys for the Golden Eagle happened at the free-throw line. CSI made 88 percent from the line compared to 74 percent for Salt Lake.
CSI returns home to host Southern Nevada Thursday and USU Eastern Saturday.
