TWIN FALLS, Idaho - The College of Southern Idaho Women's Basketball Team used a big second-half to get past Salt Lake CC 62-54 Thursday and move into third in the Scenic West Athletic Conference standings.
The Golden Eagles trailed by five at the half but increased their defensive effort in the second half, holding the Bruins to a shooting percentage of 27 percent.
Kaitlin Burgess led CSI with 17 points.
Karmelah Dean finished with 16 points and
Jordan Todd had 10. Todd also added nine rebounds.
Ashlee Strawbridge was also tough inside, finishing with eight points and 11 rebounds.Â
With the win, CSI moves to10-3 overall and 4-2 in conference play. The Golden Eagles are only a half-game back of USU Eastern and Snow College in the standings and they will take on Snow Saturday at 1 p.m.
