Box Score SCOTTSBLUFF, Nev. - The 25th-ranked College of Southern Idaho Women's Basketball Team handed #14 Western Nebraska its first home loss in four years, beating the Cougars 81-77 Thursday in a non-conference matchup.
The Golden Eagles trailed by two heading into the fourth quarter but outscored Western Nebraska 24-18 in the final period to get the win and snap WNCC's 53 game home win streak.
Two returning sophomores came up big for CSI.
Jordan Todd finished with 21 points and six rebounds, while point guard
Karmelah Dean posted 20 points and two assists. Other Golden Eagles in double figures included
Kaitlin Burgess with 14 points and
Ashlee Strawbridge with 10. Leading CSI on the boards was
Courtney Stothard with eight.Â
Sophomore
Macie Knapp finished the game with four assists and six rebounds.
The Golden Eagles shot 55 percent from the field for the game and held Western Nebraska to 37 percent.
CSI, now 2-1 on the season, travels to Eastern Wyoming Saturday.
