ONTARIO, Ore. - The 20th-ranked College of Southern Idaho Softball Team hit 12 home runs Tuesday to run rule Treasure Valley CC 23-3 and 9-0 in a non-conference doubleheader.
In the game one slugfest, the Golden Eagles finished with 20 hits, nine walks and eight home runs. In the circle,
Siera Horton kept the Chukar hitters off balance, not surrendering a hit until the fourth inning. All but two of her outs for the game were strikeouts as she finished with 13.
Nikki Zielinski was 2-for-3 with two home runs and five RBI.
Maya Williams was 2-for-2 with two home runs,
Kaylee Lamont was 2-for-2 with two doubles,
Carley Croshaw was 2-for-3 with a home run and a double,
Payton Hammond was 2-for-3 with a home run and 4 RBI,
Kalena Shepherd was 1-for-1 with a home run,
Brooklyn Anderson was 2-for-2 with a double,
Kaeley Loader was 2-for-3 with a home run, double and four RBI,
Devanie Ferguson was 1-for-1 with a double and
Kylie Baumert was 3-for-4 with a double.
Game two did not have as much offense but the Golden Eagles still scored some runs. Croshaw was 2-for-2, Baumert was 2-for-4 with a double and a home run, Shepherd was 1-for-2 with a home run, Lamont was 1-for-2 with a home run and
Emma Wilson was 1-for-3 with a home run.Â

Mailee Jensen earned the win, going four innings and giving up no runs on three hits with seven strikeouts.
Payton Hammond pitched the final inning, giving up no hits with two strikeouts.
CSI, now 14-6 overall, hosts Snow College Friday and Saturday in Scenic West play.
