SALT LAKE CITY, Utah - The College of Southern Idaho Women's Basketball team jumped out to a first-quarter lead Thursday in Scenic West Athletic Conference play and then watched it slip away, falling to Salt Lake 67-55.
After shooting 46 percent from the field in the first quarter, CSI managed just 25 percent in the second and 31 percent in the third. Overall for the game, the Golden Eagles shot 39 percent compared to 47 percent for Salt Lake and that proved to be the difference in the game.
Karmelah Dean led CSI with 17 points and seven rebounds.
Petra Farkas added 14 points and three rebounds, while Allie Thain finished with 10 points.
Jordan Todd finished with the most assists out of the post, tallying four. She added four rebounds.
CSI, now 0-2 in conference play, travels to Colorado Northwestern Saturday at 3 p.m.
