RICHFIELD, Utah - The College of Southern Idaho Volleyball Team rolled through straight set victories Friday in the Snow College Invitational, beating Eastern Arizona 25-17, 25-19, 25-19 and Western Wyoming 25-15, 25-18, 25-17.
The Golden Eagles played solid all the way around in both matches with different individuals stepping up in each match.
Against Eastern Arizona,
Payton Spoja and
Letarona Mose led the way offensively. Spoja posted 11 kills with just one error, while Mose added 10 kills with no errors. Spoja completed the double-double with 10 digs.
Taylor Burnham and
Kylie Baumert each tallied 14 digs. Burnham added three blocks and Baumert led the way with two service aces.
Quinn Kellogg led the team with 36 assists.
In the Western Wyoming match, Burnham pounded 15 kills. Spoja added 10 kills and 18 digs. Right side
Laura Valentina posted six kills and six blocks for the Golden Eagles. Mose added four blocks. Defensively, Baumert led CSI with 19 digs. She added three aces. Kellogg again posted the most assists with 29.
CSI, 2-0, takes on Yavapai at 11 a.m. Saturday followed by Otero Junior College at 1 p.m.
