HENDERSON, Nev. - The College of Southern Idaho Baseball lost in its opening round of the tournament and battled all the way back to face the College of Southern Nevada in the Region 18 Championship, ultimately falling 7-1 and finishing second.
The Golden Eagles jumped on the board first when
Nolan Walker singled in
David Hudleson for the 1-0 lead in the top of the first inning. But that would be all CSI would score and Southern Nevada scored four in the bottom of the second inning and rolled from there.
Connor Breding earned the lost, pitching three innings and giving up four hits.
Hayden Leatham,
Ryke Erickson and
Jordan Scott each added a hit offensively.
Hudleson, Leatham and
Jordan Scott all made the all-tournament team.
CSI finishes its season 35-23 overall.
