Golden Eagles split with Salt Lake to capture the series

TWIN FALLS, Idaho - The College of Southern Idaho Baseball Team split with #11 Salt Lake CC Saturday, beating the Bruins 2-1 before falling 10-3 in game two. With the split, the Golden Eagles took three of the four games against the league-leading Bruins.
In game one, the two teams entered the seventh inning tied at 1 game apiece. Looking for some magic, the Golden Eagles found it. With two outs, Ryke Erickson singled and advanced to second on an interference call. That's when Jackson Kohler knocked a double to center field to plate Erickson for the walk-off win. Kohler finished the game 2-for-3 and Hayden Leatham was also 2-for-3.

In game two, CSI went through seven pitchers. Connor Breding through five innings, giving up four runs on six hits. Skylar Holcomb, Brendan Boily and Layton Walls all threw effectively, each pitching an inning and giving up no runs. Holcomb and Boily didn't surrender a hit.
