TWIN FALLS, Idaho - The College of Southern Idaho Women's Basketball team started slow Saturday in a non-conference matchup but found its rhythm, beating Edmonds College 82-62 in the Coca Cola Invitational.
The Golden Eagles clung to just a 19-17 lead after the first quarter but broke the game open in the second, going on a 30-14 run.
Sophomores
Petra Farkas,
Allie Thayne and
Finley Garnett were a big part of that. Farkas and Thayne both finished with a double-double. Farkas had 15 points, 10 rebounds and vie assists. Thayne posted 12 points, 11 rebounds and three steals and Garnett had eight points, five rebounds and four assists.
Freshmen
Macie Knapp and
Karmelah Dean each finished with 11 points. Knapp added nine rebounds.
CSI, now 7-3, travels to Central Wyoming Dec. 12 for its next game.
