Box Score 3 MESA, Ariz. - The College of Southern Idaho Women's Basketball team defeated Mesa CC 73-48 Friday before falling to Cochise 63-58 on Saturday and Central Arizona 78-68 on Monday.
Against Mesa, CSI had big games from
Taylia Stimpson,
Petra Farkas and
Macie Knapp. Stimpson led the way in the scoring column with 14 points. She added three steals and three rebounds. Farkas posted a game-high eight rebounds along with 12 points and four assists and Knapp had 11 points, six rebounds and four assists.
In the Cochise game, CSI led 51-46 through three quarters and kept that lead early in the fourth but got cold from the field and watch the win slip away.
Petra Farkas led the Golden Eagles, finishing with 15 points, six rebounds, four assists and two steals.
Macie Knapp added 12 points and seven rebounds off the bench.Â
CSI shot more than 40 percent from the field for the game, but managed just 25 percent in the fourth quarter. The Golden Eagles out-rebounded Cochise 32-29 and out-shot Cochise 41 percent to 38 percent. But Cochise knocked down 72 percent from the free-throw line compared to 54 percent for CSI.Â
The Golden Eagles game with Central Arizona was very similar as CSI held a 54-53 lead after three quarters but the Vacqueros outscored CSI 25-14 in the fourth to pull away.
Farkas led CSI with 16 points and 11 rebounds. Knapp had 14 points and six rebounds and
Jordan Todd finished with a double-double (13 points, 10 rebounds). Stimpson added 11 points, six rebounds and four assists.
The Golden Eagles return home to host Western Wyoming Saturday at 2 p.m. in a non-conference matchup. Reserve seats will not be in affect so seating is first come first serve.Â
