TWIN FALLS, Idaho - The College of Southern Idaho run ruled the College of Southern Nevada Wednesday 13-1 to advance in the Region 18 Tournament.
The Golden Eagles benefited from five home runs and solid pitching.
Melanie Groenewegen went 2-for-4 with a double, home run and five RBI.
Siearrah Anderson,
Anjalee Batchelor,
Tristin Evans and
Courtney Argyle all hit home runs.
The Golden Eagles also did well in the circle.
Stefani Zimmerman pitched four innings, giving up one earned run on four hits with two strikeouts.
Hadlie Henderson pitched the final inning giving up no runs on one hit.
CSI, now 46-10 overall, takes on Salt Lake CC at 2:30 p.m. Thursday with the winner advancing to the championship game on Friday.
In other games, Snow beat Colorado Northwestern 7-4, Southern Nevada beat USU Eastern 5-3 and Salt Lake CC beat Snow 5-3.
