TWIN FALLS, Idaho - CSI pitcher
Mason Foltz was close to perfect Friday in leading the Golden Eagles to a 4-0 win over Southern Nevada in the Region 18 Tournament semifinals.
Foltz pitched all nine innings for CSI, giving up no runs on just four hits with five strikeouts.
The Golden Eagles scored two runs in the second, one in the fourth and one in the seventh to pull away.
Brett Resch led the Golden Eagles, going 2-for-4 with one RBI.
Colin Gordon was 1-for-3 with a double and
David Hudleson was 1-for-4 with one RBI.
CSI, now 46-10 overall, will play for the Region 18 Championship at noon on Saturday. The winner of the tournament will host a district tournament next week to see who will go to the JUCO College World Series in Grand Junction, Colo. The top two teams from the Region 18 Tournament will advance to the district tournament.
