PRICE, Utah - The College of Southern Idaho Women's Basketball team watched an eight-point lead disappear in the fourth quarter en route to a 93-90 loss to USU Eastern in overtime Saturday in Scenic West Athletic Conference play.
The Eagles from Price made 85 percent of their shots from the free-throw line (25-30) compared to 63 percent for the CSI (12-19) and that proved to be the difference. USU Eastern also out-rebounded the Golden Eagles 48-41.
CSI had big games from
Tiena Afu (18 points, 14 rebounds, 5 assists, 3 steals) and
Mallory Lapoole (24 points, 4 rebounds, 3 assists).
Chesney Campbell added 14 points and eight rebounds.
CSI, now 19-7 overall and 4-4 in conference play, will have a chance for redemption Saturday when the Golden Eagles play USU Eastern again.
