SALT LAKE CITY, Utah - Fans can always expect a good game when Salt Lake and CSI battle in men's basketball. Thursday was no different as the Golden Eagles came away with the 81-79 overtime win.
The last contest between these two teams saw the Bruins win in double overtime in Twin Falls. This time is was CSI's turn, getting the victory in one overtime.
Leading the way with a monster performance was
Tommy Burton. The sophomore post finished the game with 21 points, 19 rebounds and six steals with no turnovers. Teammate
Roberto Gittens also posted a double-double with 14 points and 10 rebounds.
The win puts CSI at 24-4 overall and 8-2 in Scenic West Athletic Conference play. With two league games remaining the Bruins and Golden Eagles are tied. CSI travels to Colorado Northwestern Saturday before returning home to host Snow Thursday.
