ONTARIO, Ore. - The fourth-ranked College of Southern Idaho swept Treasure Valley CC 25-23, 25-17, 25-11 Monday in a non-conference matchup that concludes the Golden Eagles regular season.
The Golden Eagles were led by sophomore Airi Miyabe. The outside hitter finished the match with 12 kills and 12 digs. Alexis Mareko added eight kills with no errors and two blocks. Brianna Barta posted 20 assists and three blocks. Letarona Mose also had three blocks to go with five kills. Defensively, Kylie Baumert finished with nine digs and Makayla Bradford added eight digs. Bradford added two aces and Baumert had three assists.
CSI, who finished the regular season 25-2 overall, hosts the Region 18 Tournament Friday and Saturday. The Golden Eagles play at 7 p.m. Friday against the winner of Colorado Northwestern and College of Southern Nevada. The championship match is set for Saturday at 1 p.m.
