TWIN FALLS, Idaho - The College of Southern Idaho Women's Basketball team led 36 minutes of its game with USU Eastern Saturday but the Eagles from Price fought the whole way. CSI finally claimed the 76-72 victory.
The Golden Eagles biggest lead was 11 but USU Eastern closed to within four points late.
Mallory Lapoole led CSI with 18 points, four rebounds and three assists.
Jane Nelson was on fire, never missing from the field. The sophomore was 6-for-6 from the field and 4-for-4 from beyond the arc for 16 points.
Meghan Hughes had a complete game for CSI, finishing with eight points, nine rebounds and four assists with no turnovers.
CSI, now 18-4 overall and 3-1 in conference play, travels to Snow College Thursday.
