SALT LAKE CITY, Utah - The ninth-ranked College of Southern Idaho Men's Basketball team lost to fourth-ranked Salt Lake CC Thursday in Scenic West Athletic Conference play.
The Golden Eagles and Bruins battled to a one-point halftime game with Salt Lake leading. But a big second half by the Bruins proved to be too much for CSI. After shooting just 35 percent from the field in the first half, Salt Lake knocked down 50 percent of its shots in the second half to pull away. CSI struggled to take care of the ball, committing 24 turnovers compared to 13 for the Bruins.
Charles Jones Jr. led CSI with 22 points. He added four assists and four rebounds.
Khalid Thomas added 12 points and five rebounds, while
Tommy Burton had eight points and seven rebounds.
CSI, which drops to 17-3 overall and 1-1 in league play, travels to Colorado Northwestern CC Saturday.
