TWIN FALLS, Idaho - The fifth-ranked College of Southern Idaho Volleyball team beat Southern Nevada 25-17, 25-20, 25-22 to open Scenic West Athletic Conference play Friday.
The Golden Eagles came out flat but came up with big points when they needed it. A huge key to the win was the serving game. CSI finished the match with 14 aces to none for Southern Nevada.
Airi Miyabe was the only CSI player in double digit kills. She had 12 kills along with seven digs.
Morgan Weatherwax finished the night with six kills, 34 assists and eight digs. Middle blockers
E'laisah Young and
Shiloh Peleras combined for 17 kills and three blocks.
Defensively
Makayla Bradford posted 11 digs, while
Esti Wilson had 10.
The Golden Eagles take on #10 Snow College Saturday at 3 p.m.
