PRICE, Utah - The College of Southern Idaho Baseball team took care of business Friday, beating USU Eastern 8-2 in game one. The two teams were tied at 13 in the 10th inning of game two when the game was stopped due to darkness.
The Golden Eagles will finish that game and then play a doubleheader Saturday.
Ryan Beard threw his second straight complete game for CSI, going seven innings in the game one win. He gave up just six hits and two earned runs with eight strikeouts.
At the plate, CSI had three players finish the game with doubles including
Jordan Freese,
Brett Resch and
Colin Gordon.
Kelton Christensen was 2-for-3 with three RBI and Resch also had three RBI.
CSI, now 18-21 overall and 11-14 in SWAC play, returns home next Friday and Saturday for final home games of the season.
