TWIN FALLS - On sophomore night, College of Southern Idaho standout sophomore
Brianna Osorio scored 31 points along with 11 rebounds to lead the Golden Eagles past USU Eastern 74-64 in the final Scenic West Athletic Conference regular season matchup.
USU Eastern was on fire early behind 21 first-half points of Madison Loftus. Loftus ended the game with 30 points for the Eagles.
Leading just 48-47 after three quarters, CSI knocked down 69 percent of its shots from the field compared to USU Eastern's 47 percent to pull away.
Other CSI players with solid numbers included
Tori Anderson with 15 points, three rebounds, two assists and three steals and
Tiena Afu had nine points, 11 rebounds and three assists. Osorio also had four assists and five steals.
The Golden Eagles travel to Salt Lake next week to take on Snow College Friday at noon in the opening round of the Region 18 Tournament.
