TWIN FALLS, Idaho - Sophomore
Charles Jones Jr. scored 33 points to lead the 10th-ranked College of Southern Idaho Men's Basketball team past Treasure Valley Saturday in the Wright Physical Therapy Shootout.
Jones Jr. added five assists and two steals to his impressive stat line.
The Golden Eagles out-shot TVCC from the field 51 percent to 44 percent but even more importantly they did it at the free-throw line, knocking down 82 percent compared to 63 percent for the Chukars.
Khalid Thomas also had a solid night for CSI, finishing with 23 points and five rebounds.
Malik Porter added nine points and rebounds, while
Roche Grootfaam had seven points, eight rebounds and three blocked shots.
The Golden Eagles host the Idaho Central Credit Union Invitational next Friday and Saturday.
