HUTCHINSON, Kansas - The College of Southern Idaho Volleyball advanced into the NJCAA National Tournament semifinals with a 25-23, 25-18, 25-21 over sixth-seeded Mineral Area Thursday. Earlier, the Golden Eagles beat Eastern Arizona 25-17, 25-17, 25-21 in the first round.
The Golden Eagles used a dominating service game to beat both teams. Against Eastern Arizona CSI finished with 13 aces and added 12 against Mineral Area.
Leading the way against Mineral Area was Jojo Kruize with five. She added 10 kills and eight digs for the complete match. Teammate Jasmyn Keohohina-Malina was a force at the net, posting 11 kills and five blocks. Shilo Peleras added 10 kills and four blocks. Sacha Legros led the defense with 16 digs and
Morgan Weatherwax finished with 31 assists and eight digs.
In the opening match of the day, the Golden Eagles just had too many weapons for Eastern Arizona, beating the Gila Monsters in three straight sets.Â
Airi Miyabe led CSI with 12 kills and 10 digs. She added three aces.
Three other Golden Eagles finished with six kills -

Jovana Vukcevic and Jasmyn Keohohina-Malina.
CSI will take on the winner of 7th-seeded Tyler JC at 5:30 p.m. MST Friday with a spot in the national championship on the line.
