#4 CSI VB gets huge win on the road against #7 Snow

EPHRAIM, Utah - The fourth-ranked College of Southern Idaho Volleyball took a huge step towards winning a Scenic West Athletic Conference title with a 16-25, 25-18, 25-21, 21-25, 15-8 victory over the seventh-ranked Snow College Badgers Thursday.
With the win, the Golden Eagles are tied with Salt Lake atop the standings. CSI will host Salt Lake next week and the Badgers and Bruins still have one matchup to play between them.
But for CSI the focus was on Snow and winning Thursday.
The Golden Eagles struggled in the first set, but after that CSI middles Shiloh Peleras and Jasmyn Keohohina-Malina put together a solid performance. The two combined for 23 kills and eight blocks. Airi Miyabi led CSI with 15 kills and 11 digs, while Lacey McEwan added seven kills and nine digs.
Libero Jojo Kruize finished the match with 14 digs and setter Morgan Weatherwax had 45 assists.
CSI travels to Southern Nevada Saturday at 4 p.m. MST before returning to Twin Falls to set up the showdown with Salt Lake next Saturday. The Bruins are one of only two teams to hand the Golden Eagles a loss on the season and the only one to beat CSI in SWAC play.
