TWIN FALLS - The second-ranked College of Southern Idaho Volleyball team limited hitting errors in beating North Idaho 25-15, 25-20, 25-16 Thursday to open the Starr Corporation Invitational.
The Golden Eagles finished the match with just 9 total hitting errors for a .347 percentage. On the other side of the spectrum, North Idaho posted a .137 hitting percentage.
CSI started slow but put together some point runs to pull away each set.
Jasmyn Keohohina-Malina finished the match with a team-high nine kills and five blocks. Ashelyn Jones added eight kills and five blocks. Both had just one hitting error. Jojo Kruize led the Eagles defensively with 15 digs, whil Marija Djonovic had 24 assists.
The Golden Eagles, now 6-3, play Yavapai College at 2 p.m. and Chemeketa CC at 7 p.m. Friday.
